History

The French ferry Londres was captured in July 1940 while still being under construction. Completed in December 1941 it was first
used as a mine ship, in 1943 it was assigned as a target ship for U-Boats. Used as a mine layer from July 1944 on, it survived the
war and was sold to Britain and Greece. In April 1966 it burned out in the harbor of Piraeus.
