30.11-01.12.1940:   On its way into  the Atlantic, the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper is escorted by the torpedo boats T1 , T4 , T5 , T8 , T9 and T12 .
05-06.12.1940:   The torpedo boats T1 , T5 , T8 and T12 escort the light cruiers Köln and Nürnberg during a mine laying operation in the North Sea.
07-08.12.1940:   The auxiliary cruiser Kormoran is escorted by T1 , T5 and T12 into the North Sea.
28-29.12.1940:   The torpedo boats Falke , Greif , Seeadler , T1 , T7 , T9 , T10 and T12 escort the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau during their attempt to break into the North Atlantic. The operation is aborted.
18-19.01.1941:   Another attempt to lay the mine field "20 Pommern": T1 , T5 , T10 and T12 escort several mine layers, again the operation has to be aborted because of the weather.
26-30.01.1941:  

Mine laying operation "21 Oder" of the mine layers Brummer , Hansestadt Danzig , Königin Luise and Tannenberg . The mine layers carry about 1400 mines. The mine layers are escorted by the torpedo boats T5 , T9 and T12 .

03-04.02.1941:  

Mine laying operation "22 Rügen" of the mine layers Brummer , Königin Luise and Tannenberg . The mine layers are escorted by the torpedo boats Falke , T5 , T9, T10  and T12 .

15.08.1941:   T2 , T4 , T5 , T7, T8 , T11 and T12 are attached to newly formed 2nd Torpedo Boat Flotilla.
22-24.11.1941:   T4 , T7 and T12 are sent to Cherbourg.
26-30.11.1941:   T4 , T7 and T12 escort the Auxiliary Cruiser Komet to Germany. During a British MTB attack, two boats are set on fire by T7 and T12 .
04-16.12.1941:   T2 , T4 , T7 , T12 and T14 escort the auxiliary cruiser Thor from Wilhelmshaven to Brest.
10-12.01.1942:   T5 , T11 and T12 transfer to St. Nazaire via the British Channel.
25-26.01.1942:   T2 , T4 , T5 , T11 and T12 are transferred from St. Nazaire to Brest.
27.01.1942:   While doing trials in the Biscay, the battleship Scharnhorst is escorted by T2 , T4 , T5, T11 and T12 .
03.02.1942:   Torpedoboats T2 , T5 , T11 and T12 escort the battleship Scharnhorst during trials in the Biscay.
04.02.1942:   T2 , T5 , T11 and T12 escort the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen during engine tests und gunnery drills in the Biscay.
05-07.02.1942:   The afterward torpedo tubes are replacd with a quadruple 2 cm anit-aircraft guns.
08.02.1942:   Torpedo boats T2 , T4 , T5 , T11 and T12 are relocated to Le Havre.
12-13.02.1942:   Operation "Cerberus": On board of Z29 , the "Füher der Zerstöer" and the destroyers Richard Beitzen , Paul Jakobi , Hermann Schoemann , Friedrich Ihn, Z25 and the torpedo boats T2T4 , T4 , T11 , T12 , T13 , T15 , T16 , T17 Seeadler , Kondor , Jaguar , Falke and iescort the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen through the Channel from Brest ot Germany.
15-20.02.1942:   T4 , T5 and T12 are sent to the Trondheimfjord.
23.02.1942:   Escort of heavy cruiers Prinz Eugen by Z25 and Hermann Schoemann . After Prinz Eugen is hit by a torpedo of the British submarine Trident , return to Bergen. Additional escrot is given by T5 and T12 .
06.03.1942:   Paul Jakobi and T12 join the Arctic Sea operation of battleship Tirpitz with additional escorts Friedrich Ihn , Hermann Schoemann , Z25 , T5 .
12-13.03.1942:   Friedrich Ihn , Hermann Schoemann , Z25 , T5 and T12 escort the battleship Tirpitz during its transfer from the Bogenbucht to Trondheim.
16-18.05.1942:   Paul Jakobi , Z25 , T11 and T12 escort the damaged cruiser Prinz Eugen back to Germany.
18-20.05.1942:   Richard Beitzen , Hans Lody , Z27, Z29 and T12 escort the cruiser Lützow from Kristiansand to Trondheim.
09-11.08.1942:   T7, T9 , T10 , T12 and T15 escort the heavy cruiser Lützow on its way back to Germany.
15-17.08.1942:   Z23 , T9 and T12 escort the mine layer Ulm on its way to Narvik.
01-02.10.1942:   The heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper is escorded by Z23 , Z28 , T9 and T12 on its way from the Altafjord to the Bogenbucht.
26-30.10.1942:   The torpedo boats T9 , T12 , T17 and T18 are sent from Germany to Brest.
31.10-01.11.1942:   T4 , T12 , T13 , T21 and T22 are sent to the Biskay to meet the blockade runner Wismar . The search is abandoned as the ship cannot be found.
04-05.11.1942:   T9 , T12 , T17 and T18 sail into the Biscay to recover the blockade runner Kumerland .
