07.10.1898:   Commissioned
-Feb 1899:   Training and trials in North- and Baltic Sea. After this, the ship is decommissioned.
21.10.1899:   Recommissioned as flagship of the 2nd division.
17.11-01.12.1898:   Escort of the imperial yacht Hohenzollern to Britain.
02-08.04.1900:   Training in the Baltic Sea near Danzig.
07-26.05.1900:   Voyage to the northern North Sea.
15.08-15.09.1900:   Autumn fleet excercises.
04-15.12.1900:   Winter voyage to Norway.
01.04.1901:   On its way to Kiel, the Kaiser Friedrich III runs aground while beeing on full speed. Rudder and props were damaged, the ship takes about 1200t of water. It takes two days until the damaged ships arrives in Kiel.
23.04.1901:   Sent to Wilhelmshaven for repairs.
04.05.1901:   Decommissioned, followed by repairs.
01.11.1901:   Recommissioned.
07-15.12.1901:   Winter voyage to Norway, including a6 day stay in Oslo.
25.04-28.05.1902:   Voyage around Britain.
Jun 1902:   Another trip to Britain.
08-20.07.1902:   Voyage to Norway.
17.08-18.09.1902:   Autumn fleet excercises.
01-12.12.1902:   Voyage to Norway.
02-06.04.1903:   Gunnery exercices.
10.05-10.06.1903:   Atlantic voyage with stop in Vigo, Spain.
06-28.07.1903:   Gunnery exercises in the North Sea.
15.07.1903:   During the excercises, Kaiser Friedrich II collides with the torpedo boat G112 . Both ships were slightly damaged.
15.08-22.09.1903:   Autumn fleet excercises.
Early 1904:   Voyage to Great Britain with stopps in Plymouth, Vlissingen, Lerwick and Molde.
29.08-15.09.1904:   Autumn fleet excercises.
12.07-09.08.1905:   Summer voyage to Sweden.
Dec 1905:   Excercises in the Baltic Sea.
Jul-Aug 1906:   Summer voyage to Norway.
07-15.09.1906:   Autumn fleet excercises.
Dec 1906:   Excercises in the North Sea.
08.05-07.06.1907:   Excercises in the North Sea.
12.07-10.08.1907:   Excercises in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

Aug 1914:   With the outbreak of WW1, Kaiser Friedrich III is recommissioned and attached to the 5th squadron.
19-26.09.1914:   Operation near Windau.
26-30.12.1914:   Operation near Gotland.
06.03.1915:   The ships crew is reduced and the ship is used as part of the Kiel harbor defences.
20.11.1915:   Decommissioned.
Spring 1917:   Moved to Flensburg. Before that, the ship was used as a prisoner ship.
-1918:   Used as floating barrack in Flensburg and Swinemünde.
06.12.1919:   Removed from fleet lists
-1920:   Scrapped in Kiel.
