Another quite uneventful week in the shipyard, I guess I must do some serious talks with the shipsyard workers...

Work in progress are the rubbing strakes at the lower part of the bulwarks. I run into serious problems adding the one around the stern. It had to be bend a lot to bring it to the right shape around the stern. After several unsuccessful attempts I had to ask the master of wooden ship modelling to give me a hint how to do that.

He gave me two alternatives - use the rib that was planned to this part, cut some notches to it so it can be rounded easier. Well, it did not work, so I had to go to alternetive two: Build the rubbing strake from several layers of thinner wood planks that could be brought to the right shape much easier.

This worked - I wonder why I did not had this idea myself.....

Now some sanding is required to bring the rubbing strakes into the correct shape.
