History
The frighter Belgravia
was converted into an auxiliary cruiser and commissioned as Wolf
in January 1916. On its way into the North Sea on 26.02.1916, it run aground at the Island of Neuwerk and was badly damaged. As the engines were damages beyond repair, the ship was decommissioned two days later. After the war, it was given to France where it was renamed to Iowa
, in 1934 it was scrapped.
