History

After the invasion of the Netherlands, a batch of three incomplete gunboats were captured and it was decided to complete all three ships.


K3 was launched on 22.03.1941 and commissioned on 24.01.1942. It survived the war and was given back to the Netherlands in May 1945. Renamed to Van Speyek , it was put in ot service again on 18.06.1946 and was in active duty until 1960 when it was scrapped.
