History

The small Norwegian destroyer Troll was captured by German forces on 04.05.1940 at Floro. Recommissioned under its old name on 18.05.1940 the ship served as a torpedo boat for a short time but due to its age it was removed form active duty. Converted into a water distillation and steam supply ship, the Troll was used at Laksevaag shipyard between 1941 and 1945 when it was returned to norway again. It was stricken form fleet lists in 1947 and scrapped in 1949.
