Torpedoboot 1940 - 1945  Torpedoboot 1935  Class

   Ship Info   History   Operations   Technical Data 
06-07.11.1940:   Operation of the 1st and 2nd torpedo boat flotilla with T1 , T4 , T6 , T7 , T8 , T9 and T10 against costal shipping at the British east coast. The operation is cancelled after T6 is sunk after a mine hit near Aberdeen.
30.11-01.12.1940:   On its way into  the Atlantic, the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper is escorted by the torpedo boats T1 , T4 , T5 , T8 , T9 and T12 .
28-29.12.1940:   The torpedo boats Falke , Greif , Seeadler , T1 , T7 , T9 , T10 and T12 escort the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau during their attempt to break into the North Atlantic. The operation is aborted.
17.01.1941:   Escorted by the torpedo boats T1 , T5 , T9 and T10 , the mine layers Brummer , Königin Louise and Tannenberg leave Stavanger to lay the mine field "20 Pommern". The operation is aborted due to the weather conditions.
25.01.1941:   Falke , T5 , T9 and T10 escort the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau on their way into the Atlantic.
26-03.01.1941:  

Mine laying operation "21 Oder" of the mine layers Brummer , Hansestadt Danzig , Königin Luise and Tannenberg . The mine layers carry about 1400 mines. The mine layers are escorted by the torpedo boats T5 , T9 and T12 .

03-04.02.1941:  

Mine laying operation "22 Rügen" of the mine layers Brummer , Königin Luise and Tannenberg . The mine layers are escorted by the torpedo boats Falke , T5 , T9, T10  and T12 .

07-08.04.1941:   T9 and T10 are lightly damaged during an air attack on the Deutsche Werke shipyard in Kiel.
15.08.1941:   Decommissioned.
07.-11.08.1942:   T7, T9T12 and T15 escort the heavy cruiser Lützow on its way back to Germany.
15-17.08.1942:   Z23 , T9 and T12 escort the mine layer Ulm on its way to Narvik.
01-02.10.1942:   The heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper is escorded by Z23 , Z28 , T9 and T12 on its way from the Altafjord to the Bogenbucht.
26-30.10.1942:   The torpedo boats T9 , T12 , T17 and T18 are sent from Germany to Brest.
01.11.1942:   T9 , T17 , T18 and T19 support the unsuccessful search for the blockade runner Wismar .
04-05.11.1942:   T9 , T12 , T17 and T18 sail into the Biscay to recover the blockade runner Kumerland .
