History

The two small old Norwegian torpedo boats Skarv and Kjell were both captured after the German invasion of Norway.


Kjell was captured in Kristiansand while being under repairs on 09.04.1940. Commissioned on 19.04.1940 as torpedo boat Tiger .
Renamed to Küstentorpedoboot KT1 on 23.04.1940. Sunk on 28.09.1944 near Kristiansand by six British Mosquito bombers. The wreck was located south of Mandal in February 2006 in a depth of 40 meters.
