History
The Italian destroyer Turbine
was captured in Piraeus, Greece in September 1943. After equipped with additional 3,7 and 2 cm antiaircraft guns, the then called TA14
was attached to the 9th TFlottila operating in the Aegean Sea. Until 1944 it was mainly used for escort duty and was hit by air launched rockets on 01.02.1944 at Samos, escorting the merchant ship Leda. After repairs the ship joined the TFlottila again in May 1944, but was damaged by explosives laid by sabotage units on 19.06.1944 and was sunk during its repairs in an air attack on 16.09.1944.
