History
The transport ship Djebel Dira
was captured by German troops in Marseilles on 11.12.1942. Renamed to SG12
it served as an escort vessel in the Mediterranean until it was badly damaged by a torpedo fired by the British submarine P42
. After repairs, it was recommissioned as antiaircraft ship and mine layer M6062
on 21.06.1944. The ship was destroyed on 28.08.1944 in Marseilles and scrapped in 1947.
