History

This ship had a quite long history before it was captured by German troops on 08.09.1943. Originally build as a yacht of Albert I. of Monaco, the ship was used by the Royal Navy, modified to a cable layer ship and finally used as a training ship for the Italian air force.
Commissioned as SG23 in July 1944 it was then planned to be used as a mother ship for small mine hunters (up to 16). On 27.08.1944 it was sunk in Marseilles and scrapped in 1946/47.
