18.03.1916:   Bayern is commissioned.
-31.05.1916:   Tests and trials.
15.07.1916:   Attached to the 3rd Battleship Squadron.
07-16.08.1916:   Flagship of the Hochseeflotte.
18-20.08.1916:   Unsuccessful raid in the North Sea.
19.10.1916:   Unsuccessful raid in the North Sea.
05.11.1916:   Operation at the Danish West Coast.
19.09.1917:   Operations at the Baltic Islands.
12.10.1917:   Hit by a mine near Oesel.  The ship returns to Kiel with 1000 ts water in the bow.
03.11-27.12.1917:   Repairs at Kaiserliche Werft in Kiel, to improve the stability of the ship structure, the underwater torpedo tubes are removed. Four 8,8cm Anit-Aircraft guns are installed.
23.04.1918:   Unsuccessful raid in the northern North Sea up to the Stavanger area.
06.12.1918:   Interned at Scapa Flow.
21.06.1919:   Scuttled by own crew.
18.07.1934:   First attempt to raise the wreck fails, ship sinks again after 30 minutes.
01.09.1934:   Wreck raised from 40 meters water depth
1935:   Wreck broken down in Rosyth
