History
This Italian torpedoboat was captured on 09.09.1943. After equipped with additional antiaircraft guns (2 cm and 4 cm) the ship was part of the 9th Torpedoboot flotilla operating in the Aegean Sea. TA19
(former Calatafimi
) was commissioned at the end of 1943. It was badly damaged by Beaufighter bombers on 19.06.1944 and also towed to Heraklion. After repairs, the torpedo boat was sunk by the Greece submarine Pipinos
on 09.08.1944.
