History
The small torpedo boat was originally used by the Austrian Hungarian navy as 78T
. Begin part of the Yugoslav navy in World War II (as T3
), it was first captured by the Italians in 1941 and then taken over by the Kriegsmarine after the Italian surrender. It was then given to the Croatian navy, but caused by the little effectiveness of this navy, retaken by the Kriegsmarine on 14.12.1944 and renamed to TA48
. Its Kriegsmarine services didn't last for very long - it was sunk by bombs on 20.02.1945.
