-March 1906:  Bremen operates off the South American coast and the Caribbean Sea.
23.03 - 14.05.1906:  Repairs in Newport News, USA.
16.12.1906:  Rescue operation for the beached passenger ship Prinzessin Victoria Loise , Bremen takes over passengers and unsuccessfully tries to rescue the ship.
-March 1907:  Bremen operates off the South American coast.
02.03-14.04.1907:  Repairs in Newport News, USA.
-Summer 1907:  Visits to several ports in the USA.
16.03.1908:  Sent to Haiti to assist european citizens in the revolutions on Haiti.
-June 1908:  Visits to Philadelphia and New York.
06.04.-15.05.1909:  Repairs in Newport News, USA, followed by visits to several ports in the USA.
14.10.1909:  Arrived at Buenos Aires.
-October 1910:  Visits to several ports in South America.
October 1910:  Sent to Honduras to assist european citizens in the revolutions in Honduras.
December 1910:  Visit to Costa Rica.
19.03.1911:  Bremen meets the battlecruiser Von der Tann at Rio de Janeiro.
05.-22.05.1911:  Repairs in Newport News, USA.
July - August 1911:  Sent to Haiti to assist european citizens in the revolutions on Haiti.
26.09-24.11.1911:  Repairs in Newport News, USA.
03.-13.06.1912:  Together with the battlecruiser Moltke and the small cruiser Stettin , the Bremen visits the USA.
20.12.1912:  Ordered to West Africa to assist German gunboats there.
25.12.1912:  Arrived at Monrovia.
12.01.1913:  Bremen returns to South America.
June 1913:  Ordered back to Germany.
24.09.1913:  Return order to Germany canceled, because the replacement cruiser was not available yet.
-January 1914:  Bremen operates off the Mexican coast to protect european citizens.
21.01.1914:  Ordered back to Germany.
15.03.1914:  Arrived in Bremen after 9,5 years in overseas service.
27.03.1914:  Decommissioned in Wilhelmshaven.
-May 1915:  Bremen is rebuild, four 10,5 cm guns are replaced with two 15 cm ones. Funnels and masts are modified.
27.05.1915:  Commissioned, followed by trials in the Baltic Sea.
08.07.1915:  Attached to the Baltic Sea reconnaissance forces.
July - September 1915:  Several operations in the Baltic Sea, including coastal bombardments.
17.12.1915:  While trying to rescue the crew of the Torpedo boat V191 which run on a mine, the Bremen is hit by two mines itself. Sunk in a short time, causing about 300 causalities.
